About Us

Situated over 750m above sea level, in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Pine Hill is a specialist stud run by Geoff and Nikki Lomman.  We specialise in breeding quality sheep which are usually sold at around 18 months old.  We have two properties, one near Bowral and the second in the high rainfall red soil pastures of Robertson.

Geoff has over thirty years’ experience as a professional vegetable agronomist, so his priority has been to renovate the previously run down pastures, and he now maintains soil fertility to ensure the best nutrition possible for our sheep.  We have installed strip grazing which helps get the best productivity from the pastures, and minimises the need for drenching against worms.  We are proud members of the Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association (ASSBA) and the Wiltipoll Sheep Breeders Association (WSBA).  Our stud sheep come with a pedigree, can be registered with ASSBA, and conform to the breed standards.

Wiltipoll Sheep

Wiltipolls are meat sheep bred for taste, productivity and ease of handling. They are bred from the historic British breed, Wiltshire Horns.  Wiltshire Horns and Wiltipolls are shedding sheep, dropping their short wool and hair coats annually.  This means they do not require mulesing, shearing or crutching. They are naturally resistant to fly strike, making them easier to care for.  They are hardy and well suited to commercial prime lamb production on any scale, and are also suitable for small flocks and hobby farms.
